It isn't exactly about supply chain, but does relate to what your suppliers can be doing to promote the environment and sustainability. 

Castings are critical to the valve and industrial products industries. This article puts into perspective what AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things) can do to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by improving the quality of castings. By reducing scrap, and re-melts, we can reduce overall energy consumption or think of it as improved yield per energy unit consumed!

I recently read this blog for Supply Chain Brain. Usually, I like what they have to say. This time, I agree with some of the points made such as the trend to economic nationalism impacting the supply chain, but i think this trend started before the political impact. Supply chains were being contracted, and relocated, to produce either where the raw materials were located or where the customers were located. These ranged from small subcontractors to valve OEM s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and commercial aircraft manufacturers. Everyone is looking to improve their operations. Those who aren’t are either going out of business or already out of business. The real question is how and where does one start? Follow a simple 3-step process. Step 1: Focus.
